Areas of the existing hardwood floors were removed and later reused to patch other areas and new hardwood flooring was installed in the bedroom, closet, dining and kitchen. Italian tile was used for the master bath flooring as well as the tub & shower walls. The barrier free walk-in shower features separate side by side shower controls and non-slip tile to ensure adequate access and safety were properly addressed. The modern style Maple vanities were custom built. Quartzite countertops were chosen for their sleek, modern look. Clearstory windows were added at the raised ceiling areas to floor the spaces with natural light. The barn-style door was custom made with modern metal horizontal inlays and a grey wash Maple finish. A combination of light and dark grey paint colors were chosen to complete the modern style aesthetic.

LED light strips were added to the tub & shower niches as well as the vanity toe kicks and ceiling beams. Dozens of new recessed can lights were added for general and task lighting. Vanity mirrors with LED light strips in the mirrors provide proper lighting for dressing. Marvin wood windows and doors were utilized in the project. Large wood beams were incorporated into the design for both their aesthetics and structural values.

Tankless on-demand water heater, high performance low-E insulated glass, spray foam insulation and radiant barrier roof decking were all used to ensure the newly renovated spaces perform well with minimal operating costs.
